One of the few restaurants in town & 1 of even fewer open later in the evening. It has dine-in & a drive-thru. The prices seemed a bit high but everything way out here is a lot higher. The Dining room was especially clean. Service was quick & friendly. The chili was perfect after a long day of playing in the snow at the Canyon. My wife loved the Apple pecan salad. We don't have a Wendy's by us & were surprised at the variety to choose from. This is a really nice fast-food establishment & I think the best value in town.

We are AZ residents. We like to vacation up that way. It's a well known fact the businesses up in the tourist rich environment increase their prices. In the case of Wendy's it's 15%. In the past, if you inform them you are a AZ resident you receive a 15% discount. We were there twice during our stay, and received the discount both times. Friendly service, Good food. Our last visit was Saturday am on our way out of town. What a aweful experience. We went thru the drive thru. We got to the window to pay, a Mgr. Named JASMINE, took my card and ID, I asked for the discount, and she acted like I was taking money out of her pocket. She would not honner the discount we had received all week. She told us the employees were "stupid" and should not have given the discount. What?? You've been doing it for years.........Jasmine was rude, she was very mad. She acted like we were trying to rip here off. We only requested the same discount we had received twice earlier in the week. We will never eat there again....... I recommend the Mexican Restaurant right across the street. They are friendly and the food is excellent.

Greasy, yet light. Fast, yet delicious. Expected, yet surprising. Cherry employees at the drive thru amped up the fast food experience, and upon returning to our hotel the family dove in without a single complaint. Some of the best, thank you Wendy's!!!

For several very basic reasons I rarely write Yelp reviews on Wendy's, McD's and their ilk. First, it has been at least 3 years since I've eaten in a burger chain location. Second, there usually isn't a dime's worth of difference between a Wendy's location in Fort Lauderdale, versus one in Seattle-- or on Jupiter for that matter. Finally, the dining experience rarely justifies the pixels lost in the name of a digital review. The Tuscayan Wendy's property likely changes that paradigm. It may very well be the closest eatery to a "fine dining" standard in this high-traffic tourist town. (Pausing for a moment to digest just how sad a commentary this realization represents.) Although the food quality is (well) Wendy's, location and limited alternatives conspire to make this a more-expensive-than-normal Wendy's. Further, their menu is considerably limited. More typically Wendy's, we found the counter help to be "slow," and their service to be slower. The chicken club sandwich was eatable, if not completely palatable, and there didn't seem to be anything wrong with the fountain Diet Coke. I'm obviously grateful for small favors here. As with so much of this area, unless you walk through the door with the mindset of your "happy place--" something that the Grand Canyon provides in abundance-- you're not likely to leave here satisfied with your dinner.

Wendy's just outside of Grand Canyon South Entrance in Tusayan By far, the busiest Wendy's. I am reminded every time I come to this one. I still give it four stars for lightening quick service, cleanliness, food, and being here in such a remote location.

Came here on a Saturday night with a group of friends. Yes, it was super busy, line was long, service didn't take too long and food was as expected. Ordered more than my stomach could handle but can't complain! You come to Wendy's for Wendy's!

Stopover for a quick brunch and I loveeeeee the salad! It comes with big chunks of strawberries, bacons and chicken meat! Didn't expect to have a pretty looking and yummy bowl of salad here at Wendy! 8/10. The home style chicken burger is very plain, bun with chicken meat and a piece of lettuce that's all. I wouldn't recommend you to order 3/10. They have drive through the service and it is not crowded. Great for a quick stopover for lunch.

The service here after 6 was absolutely appalling. If I could give this place less than one star, I would. My fiancé and I waited for a half an hour to place an order. This I didn't mind so much, because I figured that they were a little understaffed and the park just emptied... Until we got up to the front and realized that there were six people working at the time, and they were moving at a glacially slow pace. They didn't seem to care at all that there were more than a dozen people in line. Then I try to order a salad combo and the lady tells me that I can't. It says so right on their sign! But apparently not. So I order my salad, fiancé gets his combo... Thank goodness I checked the bag before we left, they didn't put his fries in the bag. And then I get back to our hotel room to discover that my bag contains the worst salad I have ever been served. Lettuce was wilted, and the tomatoes were so past ripe that they had burst. It was truly awful.

We had our worst Experience in here.i wish I could give it a minus star.people ,work in here doesn't understand what u r saying.they can't take an order properly.and also they are very rude.they don't understand your order, and they smirk on ur face.irritating, most annoying, worst service ever.ugghhh and the food.it was so dad that we couldn't even able to finish it.and yes of course it has a tiny toilet with no tissues.so go at your own risk

Haven't had Wendy's in a very long time so don't know if I could compare it to past experiences. The frosty I had for sure tasted like the ones I've had in the past so that was nice. I had the Apple Pecan Salad and that was meh. The chicken tasted kinda rubbery. The fries were also meh. The service wasn't very good either. It was slow and the guy messed up our order, but fixed it no problem when we told him after. I still think it was better than what McDonald's would have been.

This is probably one of the few places where you can get food without being ripped off near the Grand Canyon. While the quality of food here (or Wendys in general) alone won't warrant 4 stars, the relatively bleaker options offered by other restaurants in the area plus the Wifi service (if your mobile provider doesn't have a signal here like mine) definitely justifies the higher rating. If you don't trust the restaurants in the area or in the park, then come here. You won't be getting the food and service you'd expect at a 4-5 star restaurant but your experience won't be that different than at most Wendy's around the country.

Fries good. Got our food quickly. They brought it to our table which was nice. The fries were very good. I ordered Dave's Hot and Juicy. I love ordering that out loud! Anyways, if this place is any indication, they ought to rename it "Dave's Cold and Clammy". The bun was cold. The meat was room temp. The cheese was like it just came out of the fridge - probably because it just came out of the fridge. worst hamburger I've had in ages. it's really hard to f up a cheeseburger, but they managed expertly. Man, I could Be rich if I just came to this town. And decided to open a simple eatery that cared about customers and it's food, and simply did something revolutionary -made good quality food at a fair price. I would be a millionaire within a few short years. Definitely something to think about. Warning to these businesses - in this age of internet and social networking, people won't put up with this crap forever. Your days are numbered.

Please stop over inflating this restaurant for its location. It is Wendy's, which is a 2 star restaurant on a good day. It just happens to be in a town without any where else to eat and you are starving. The sole reason it is over priced is that it prays on foreign tourists that are ignorant of exchange rates. It is only 40 minutes from the closest nearest highway, therefore they must charge you 30% more for your square hamburger. Buy your food in Flagstaff or Williams and tell these greedy fockers to go fock themselves.

The food was better then most restaurants in the area.... The only difference between the Wendy's and McDonald's has better service and wasn't as slow. The fries are pretty fresh but the crispy chicken sandwiches was pretty lackluster. The prices are crazy in the area so beware if your looking for cheap fast food.

Most expensive Wendy's I have ever been to... A "value" meal is 7.99-8.99?! Isn't this getting on the order of a casual sit down restaurant? Plus after adding a SMALL frosty and tax we got up to $11 per person... I'm absolutely appalled by the prices. As for the food, it was the normal Wendy's fare; I do like their fries and the frosties. The sandwiches are alright; meat was decently thick at least. We came during the winter so the service was fast -- scarily so actually. Literally we ordered and they assembled everything and gave it to us immediately after we paid.

  • David C.

Ok, I thought Wendy's was "safe", but I was wrong... 1. They have a TV situated near the order line playing very LOUD, trying to sell a Grand Canyon tour. The noise can be heard clear on the other side of the dining room. 2. The server was very slow and the line got pretty long behind us. 3. I opened my salad container and there was a HAIR in my salad. Gross!

  • Phillip N.

Wendy's at the Grand Canyon is like Wendy's anywhere else--but a little higher price for some items. Not crazy higher prices, just not the cheapest Wendy's you're going to find. The difference is less than a buck for some items and some are the same as anywhere else. 5 stars for consistency and knowing what you can expect.

  • B I.

I love Wendy's (their food is amazing), but this location is the worst I've seen. Prices are worse than airport Wendy's... I'm talking 3 times the regular price. I get that it is the best food option right outside the Grand Canyon, but do you have to rip me off? Plus this location is not family friendly. They didn't have a changing table in either rest room, and when asked the employees displayed outright belligerence and disrespect for potential customers.

Took kids here for breakfast and the place is clean! Service is excellent! We ordered and applewood smoked bacon breakfast sandwich and it was tasty. The coffee is hot and strong.

You need food when you get out of the Grand Canyon, right? Well, Wendy's is the best you can do, and considering how immensely often Wendy's has saved my life on the road, I think I have to be eternally grateful. We saw the most beautiful sunset at the Grand Canyon and had a 4 1/2 hour drive in front of us, so we were sufficiently hungry. Wendy's managed to deliver a short line, friendly people and a good meal. Best of all, we wanted a salad and their apple pecan salad felt like nothing less than a revelation. Perhaps I am biased towards sweet salads, but the combination of a bit of lettuce, slightly sour apples, pecans, cranberries and pomegranate vinaigrette was exactly what we needed. As previous reviewers have already said, this place deserves 5 stars not because the food is oh-so-amazing (although it comes quite close for a fast food place) but because people really should eat here when coming out of the Grand Canyon.

My wife and I were only car in drive-thru line, plus it was slow inside, yet the cashier acted like there was some urgent hurry. We quickly rushed to figure out what we wanted, while in an annoying tone the cashier let us know he couldn't hear us. Then, at the end of our order, the cashier microphone cut out; we couldn't hear anything, the screen didn't change to indicate our order/total, so we drove to the window. At the window, the cashier, in the same snarky-annoying tone he had the whole time, still persisted in person. At any rate, the bottom line is: the whole experience was very rude and unprofessional, and to top it all off, the food was cold and tasted like it had been sitting for quite a while.

The value menu prices are inflated due to location. English breakfast tea was great. Free fast wifi in an area of otherwise no cell reception...a big plus.

REALLY - 4-stars for Wendys? Normally I would give Wendy's and most fast food joints a three star - but I have to decrement a star due to the **high** prices. As expected in this sad-excuse for a town, food is completely overpriced. But at Wendy's, $4.50 gets you a burger. That's it... no fries, no drinks... nada. Just a burger. Tip here? stick with the Value Menu. You didn't come to the Grand Canyon/Tusayan for culinary excellence,so just stick with the most calories for the buck.

5 stars, just to let other people know that Wendy's is THE best place to eat in this area before spending so much money for very bad food at any other restaurant.

5 stars for being the best option in crappy Tusayan, AZ. There you are, viewing one of most incredible natural wonders of the world. This is a place attracting domestic and international tourists alike. And what does Tusayan have to offer these world travelers, as far as culinary delights go? Wendy's. Dear god. After reading the TripAdvisor/Yelp reviews, we knew (sadly) that Wendy's was our best bet. We walked in, only to be faced with the longest line I've ever encountered in a fast food restaurant. We waited in line for 20 minutes to order our spicy-chicken combos. Food was fresh and predictable. Prices were higher than your average Wendy's, but that wasn't a surprise. We actually came back here our second night, much to our chagrin. The line was equally long. This is a popular place. We ordered the chilil. I was actually really surprised how good the chili is! Make sure to order it with cheese and onions, and get the packets of red sauce to throw in there. I can't believe I'm reviewing a Wendy's. However, I would eat there all over again if I ever returned to Tusayan. However, the best Grand Canyon eating options are actually inside the National Park. And there's a pretty damn nice grocery store where we bought cheese, cold cuts, fruit and crackers.

There aren't many restaurant options in this area. The cashier was very unfriendly (I was kind of pissed off), but manager was okay. I got sandwich large combo meal. The cost was $9. It was pricy than usual, but decent for this area.

  • Charlie S.

I give this place two stars because of the frustratingly slow service at the order desk. The food was the same as other Wendy's but Wendy as a whole has problems with ordering because of the way their service is structured.

  • Neil E.

I know I know, you're thinking "who on earth gives Wendy's a 4 star rating"? But hear me out. You're at the Grand Canyon, and if you've read the Yelp reviews for your other choices, you know they all SUCK. We were craving fresh salads and figured the only place in town that would have decent ones is a major fast food chain with a rock solid distribution network. That meant either Wendy's or McDonald's. We tried Wendy's because it was on the right side of the road. My wife and I were totally shocked. The apple salad we each had, with chicken, blue cheese, pecans, and craisins, was DELICIOUS. Seriously tasty. So tasty in fact we almost came back for dinner too! My only ding was the chicken breast was incredibly salty. Other than that, it was the best salad I ate all week.

AVOID THIS WENDY'S!!! I gave it one star because it's the lowest I could give them. Price is okay because we are in a remote area, but the manager is very disrespectful and disgusting. She had cuts on her hands, seemed she hadn't showers in day, and didn't wear gloves. Don't waste your money and find somewhere else to eat or risky getting sick or worst!

  • Tom M.

I seriously hope Wendy's is open for breakfast in the morning because there is no way I will eat at the "resort" I'm staying at that has TJJ Buffet. What the hell is it with this area?

    (5)
  • Keri M.

The customer service was NON existent! The manager mad-dogged everyone who walked up and there was a very strange smell that hit u right when u walked in. I had to coax my husband into staying there to eat with the other yelp reviews that said it was the only place to eat in the town because the smell was so strong at first (wasn't do bad in the dining room). I gave the 2nd star because the food was Wendy's and what u would expect.

  • Mikal L.

After checking into our hotel we wanted to grab a quick bite before we went exploring. I've eaten at Wendy's before and my experiences were usually good. I've gone to this Wendy's the four times over the last two trips to the Grand Canyon and I have to say that they really need to step it up on customer service. The people that works there really take there time doing everything. I don't expect much but come on. If there were more places to choose from I would go some where else. They need to work on being quick and responsive for their customers.

    (1)
  • Cork C.

My food was dry in the way that it looked really old and the Manager was EXTREMELY rude. I expect indifference or attitude from the cashiers at fast food places, but the manager should know better especially since he was training someone. He basically yelled at me for what I ordered and then refused to change it after he wrongly assumed that I wanted fries as a side. Oh! Also 2 combo meals here cost $18 and the food was so bad we threw it out and ate somewhere else.

    (2)
  • Greg G.

A little more expensive than the usual Wendy's restaurant but after reading the other reviews on the other restaurants in the area I was glad I went. Definitely a safe bet!

    (3)
  • Hannah Z.

4-stars for saving the day! There's only a few choices where to eat before you get into the Grand Canyon, too many hit and miss restaurants based on Yelp. Both days we were staying in the area, we ate here. The prices aren't inflated like McDonald's and the food was fresh. Breakfast sandwiches, chicken nuggets and their apple pecan salad (fresh & crispy greens) were good. The small chili also hit the spot with the Fall/Winter Canyon weather.

    (4)
  • Lauri S.

Extremely rude manager. Doesn't listen to the customers order but stares other customers stacking instead. 2 stars for good burger, zero for the customer service.

    (2)
  • Bob R.

Relative to the others, Wendy's is the best. Five stars for being the best fast food option in Tusayan, and my second favorite burger joint.

    (5)
  • Mark B.

Okay, I read the other reviews about Wendy's and understand that in the town Tusayan there are not any good restaurants. While lodging in Tusayan, I went to Wendy's and ordered a meal, the total with taxes was $9. I would call that very costly. It's was just a burger, fries and drink.
